Hello Steemians!
In the process of trying to start off the month trying out and eating healthy foods, I want to share my green smoothie recipe with you all. It's quick, easy, and doesn't make a mess because it only consists of four ingredients! Not to mention, it's a blend of a variety of loaded foods with a lot of health benefits. It literally takes two seconds to make. A perfect drink when you wake up and don't have much time!
And after making this smoothie, I noticed how there is no aftertaste. If you're like me, I don't like leafy greens and was a little nervous before making this because hello, there's spinach and kale! But literally you don't taste the spinach and kale, there is no aftertaste, and the dates add a nice sweetness to the mixture!
Also, in this recipe, I use a NutriBullet to blend everything together. It's fast and easy, and there isn't much cleaning to do since it's relatively compact size. If you don't have one already and you love making smoothies, I would invest in one of these!
RECIPE
Ingredients
• 1 banana
• 1 1/2 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
• 5 Medjool dates, pitted and cut into pieces
• 2 cups of baby spinach and kale
Directions
• Put everything in a blender and blend until very smooth. Make sure the dates are all smooth and incorporated in the mixture--there shouldn't be any small pieces of it (it's okay if there's tiny pieces in it, but just not pieces big enough that you can chew) or the spinach/kale in the smoothie!
• Drink immediately, and enjoy!
