I am curious. Why does your ancestry report claim the German and English componenents of your DNA are 'New'? It would seem to me they'd be just as old as the rest of it.

23andMe says they're continuously updating your DNA profile based on new data coming in from more people taking the DNA test. I guess the larger the pool of clients, the more clear everyone's genetic profile becomes. They were horribly inaccurate, at first, for Africans and Native Americans because their pool of data in those groups was low because large numbers hadn't taken the test. It's fascinating how they pinpoint the regions even.
