A nice simple dish, that I often cook for myself. It really is quite easy, and doesn't take too long either.
Ingredients:
1 x brown onion
4 x rashers of bacon, rind removed
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded/grated
1/2 cup full cream
1 & 1/2 cup pasta/noodles (I used 'shells' today, but its not really important. Whatever your preference)

Instructions
1)Dice/chop the brown onion and rashers of bacon

2)Preheat a frying pan, (I use a large 40cm or so one). Fill a pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to the boil. (Something suitable for your pasta.)

3)Fry the brown onion and bacon until just Golden brown and reduce the heat down to min.

4)When the water has boiled, add your pasta

5)Add around 3/4 of the parmesan and cream to the frying pan with the onion and bacon. Mix well. TASTE.
It is quite 'bitey' in taste, add a little more cream. This is really a personal preference thing, but its why I suggest only
adding 3/4 of your cheese and cream. Leaves you with a little to 'play' with. Experiment to your liking. Add a little of
each at a time.

6)When the water in pot has come to the boil, add your pasta and cook until done. Another personal preference thing.
(If it sticks to the wall, its done. Really, this works. Or you could always just try it...again, personal preference...al dente or well done)

7)Add the cooked pasta to the frying pan and mix well. (Depending on the pasta used, I transfer the pasta direct from its pot, to the frying pan. Shells, Penne, etc, I use a spoon of some sort, Linguine or Spaghetti noodles, just a pair of tongs. A little of the water from your 'pasta pot' is prefered. The starch in the water helps with the flavour, and the 'mixing'. This is why I don't recommend straining off your pasta first.)

8)Serve in/on your preferred dish. (I prefer a pasta bowl, some prefer a plate. Again personal preference

9)The most important step...ENJOY
