"Yesli my podozhdem, poka my budem gotovy, my budem zhdat' vechno."
If we wait until we are ready, we will wait forever. When you felt like you've been stuck forever in a situation where you felt like there's nowhere else to go, like you've been waiting there forever for nothing.
We all have our downfalls. We're like tiny beautiful bubbles floating in the winds direction and suddenly we hit the walls and we disappear in the thin air and nobody ever notice that.
Sometimes, we feel like even if we're doing something, doing our best, we feel like it's still not enough.
There is this odd feeling of vagueness inside, a culprit without joy and no peace. As if you're shouting and nobody hears. People pass by, walking fast their pace, they just look you in the face and and look away as if it doesn't matter.
You felt like you're all alone in the midst of it all. You gave your all, tried to shout but seems like they can't hear you. And your soul, is finally convinced that nobody dares to look you in the face and smile and understand you perfectly.
Waiting in vain is the most painful thing. It's as if you're walking the same pace everyday, the same direction in one same world. You tried your best to wanna change your situation, but you can't coz all you can do is wait.
Time is your best enemy and it controls your life. You wanted to drag fast the ticking of the clock and break the hourglass, wishing that way you'll be set free.
But you can't, time is infinite. You can't defeat it. You can't fight against it. All you can do is....WAIT.....but,
"Ya chuvstvuyu, chto zhdu chego-to, chego ne proizoydet."
"Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength."
INGREDIENTS
For the Dough:
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup red wine
1 egg
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 tbsp dry active yeast
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup coconut milk
For the Glazing:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp evaporated milk
a pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
In a blender, pulse flax seeds until powdery in texture.
Sift flour and add to mixing bowl. Add baking powder, salt, blended flax seeds, vegetable oil, butter, milk, egg, red wine and activated yeast. Mix until well combined.
Knead dough for at least 6 mins and place in a bowl and cover for an hour to rise up.
Once dough has doubled in size, flatten it out using a rolling pin. Using a cookie cutter about 4 inches wide, cut dough and make a hole in the center using a 1 inch cookie cutter.
Lay on a baking sheet and cover for 30 mins to let it rise.
In a medium heat, heat oil in the pan. Once hot, fry doughnuts until golden brown. Pat dry with paper towel.
Meanwhile, make your glazing. Combine powdered sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla and salt. Stir using a whisk until glossy and sticky.
Dip doughnuts or pour top with the glazing. Top with your favorite nuts.

Thank you.
These look delicious! Not too long ago I tried my hand at a cinnamon cake donut with a flax egg substitute and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I’m sure these didn’t last long in your house either. Thanks for sharing 😋
