Turmeric, Latin name Curcuma longa, is native to India & Malaysia. It grows 3-4 feet tall & wide, and is an understory plant that likes some shade. 💚
This medicinal, tropical rhizome is hardy in USDA zones 8 to 11. I can't wait to spend more time in warmer climates where I can grow things like this!
