Last Saturday, a few of my motorcycle buddies and I went to Sungkai, Perak solely for the famous prawn noodle. In Sungkai, there are many restaurants and roadside stalls selling prawn noodles.
The discussion for the ride was done via WhatsApp. The outcome of the discussion was the rendezvous point would be at Petronas Gombak. We need to meet at 7 pm and start our journey at 7.30 pm.
The distance from Petronas Gombak to Sungkai would be 120 kilometers or approximately around 1 and a half hours of riding time. Thankfully, all of my riding buddies arrived at the rendezvous point on time.
All six of us started our journey at 7.30 pm and reached Sungkai at 9 pm. As I mentioned before, there are many restaurants and roadside stalls selling prawn noodles. We honestly did not know which restaurant to go to.
So we decided to go to Warung Remy D'Rimba. I once saw a video of Remy D'Rimba's restaurant in Tiktok. Their prawn was big and looked really appetizing. Their specialty would be fried rice noodles with deep-fried prawns.
I ordered two meals which were fried rice with deep-fried prawns and rice noodles with deep-fried prawns. For both meals, I was charged RM45. It is not cheap, but it was cheaper compared to the price of prawn-based meals in Kuala Lumpur.
After having our dinner. We went back to Kuala Lumpur at 11 PM
