Homemade Dumpling

What are doing during the lockdown? I like to cook to keep myself busy. Today, I try to make Dumpling. Dumpling is called Ha Cao in Vietnamese. This is the first time I have tried and the result comes out well. It made my day, yay.

Homemade dumpling dough. This process will take about 10 minutes but is fun:

  • Place flour in the large mixing bowl
  • Add water to the dough
  • Knead into a smooth dough for 5 minutes.
  • Separate into tiny dough pieces
  • Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough

The ingredient for dumpling filling: Minced pork, Fresh shrimp, Mushroom, Carrot, Spring Onion and then add some spices like pepper, soy sauce and sugar, sesame oil. Mix them well.

We can steam them or fry them, but I prefer to steam (15-20 minutes)

Serve with my favourite dipping sauce.

Dumpling is easily made and healthy.
