This is very popular filipino soup the ingredients are ; potatoes, corn, cabbage, petchay, onion, garlic and of course the main ingredient is the beef shank the best part of this dish is the bone marrow that gives a luscious meaty flavor to the soup it is easy to cook because the ingredients are easy to find but you have to spend a lot of time to cook it because you have to wait at least an hour to achieve the proper cooked of meat. The right quality cooked of meat is when it falls out through the bone.
You have to boil huge amount of water then put your beef shank wait until properly cooked. Then put the corn first wait until cooked then the other vegetables put pepper and season some salt to taste and other spices of your choice. When you have a pressure cooker it is an optional and easy way to cook it.
This is the final look it is good to serve when its hot perfectly fit to cold rainy weather, and also very beneficial because these food serves such good quality of nutrients look at those huge amount of vegetables as a main source and also the beef shank itself.This is my kind of comfort food I put some calamansi and chili as additional flavor I recommend you also to try this dish and you will not regret it.
