Som tum is one of my favorite. Whenever I am visiting my parents in Bangkok I pretty much get my som um fix for the year. For me if it's not spicy, it does not taste right but I like my version pretty boring. Just the basic without the crabs or raw seafood. Thanks for sharing your photo, it sure does look spicy!
