The trick to a good French onion soups is cooking the onions low and slow so they caramelize. I know it is often on the menu at fancy restaurants but really - it's a perfect homestead meal. Onions, day old bread, some stock, seasoning and a sprinkling of cheese. Super simple ingredients!

Thank you very much. Our homesteading journey is going to be a long process. We have already purchased our land but I had to leave for a job that will take a year. It’s the way I’m doing it in order to pay everything off faster. But when this jobs done we will be heading back planting all of our fruit trees, putting up fencing, installing septic and getting it ready for our camper. Before the next job starts.
