Hello, Steemians. I once wrote on two Nigerian delicacies( pounded yam/egusi and tuwo). Today I'm taking you on a tour to explore 10 different Nigerian delicacies around the six geopolitical zones of the most populated black nation in the world. Join me and after this you be eager to taste these. Yummy yummy!
- Jollof Rice. Prepared from the abundant rice in most Nigerian kitchens, it is very popular in events or functions.
2.Ewa Aganyin. This is produced from beans and sauce is added. The beans is cooked to be completely soft before beeing served. You can find it in the South Western part of the country. The food is a popular Yoruba delicacy.
3.Amala and Ewedu Soup. This is also a Yoruba delicacy. It is believed that your stay in Yoruba land is not complete untill you taste amala.

4.Poundo-Cocoyam and Oha Soup. This delicacy is found and eaten by people from the South Eastern region( the Igbos). A taste of this will leave you desiring more.

5.Adalu. This is a mixture of beans and corn served with flavoured sauce. It is mostly prepared in the South-East region, but eaten by almost all Nigerians, irrespective of their tribes.
- Moin Moin. This is common in most parts of the country. It is produced by grinding uncooked beans and wrapped in leaves or small containers. Different ingredients like onions, pepper, crayfish, meat or eggs are added, cooked and served when hot.
7.Abacha and Ugba. Popularly known as 'African salad', it can be eaten both as meal or snacks. It is popular among the Igbos in the South Eastern region.
8.Semovita and Efo Riro. This is a combination of the popular semo and vegetable soup. It is very delicious.

9.Akara and Pap. Akara is produced from beans and pap is produced from corn. A combination of these makes every Saturday morning delightful.
- Starch and Banga Soup. Banga soup is common in the south. It is eaten with starch prepared from cassava.
