The world cup tournament has been amazing so far, expectations were reached, we were shocked, and nevertheless the games were top notch.

The battle for the round of 16 is getting tougher. Two groups has been decided already. Uruguay and Russia advanced to the next stage in Group A, while Spain and Portugal qualified in Group B. Since the best in Group A will be facing the second position in Group B and vice versa, Russia will take on Spain in the 16th round while Uruguay will face Portugal.

Now, to the match of the day. Group C and D will be decided in few hours but I'll be focusing on Group D, one match actually.

Nigeria vs Argentina

Argentina needs a victory to advance to the next stage while Nigeria needs a draw at least. Argentina are currently the last on Group D's table. Who would have anticipated this? Well, in football, anything happens.

However, Iceland are still in the race, they need to win Croatia to advance too, although this isn't farfetched but it's possible. A (2 - 0), (3 - 1) win might see them through to the round of 16.

Messi's fate will be decided today, his team hasn't been fantastic, they've shown how incapable they are. They were poor against Iceland and it got worse against Croatia, can they get to their A game against Nigeria?

Nigeria proved beyond reasonable doubt that they can pull this through, there was lot of energy from them against Iceland, can that performance defeat Argentina?

Apparently, Nigeria has never won or draw against Argentina in the world cup. The only two wins they've had is in the friendlies. But, records are meant to be broken right?

Those results from Argentina are from the fearless Argentina we know, can this current squad go on with this?

Nigeria 1, Argentina 2 please Nigerian footballers keep coming home and tell our baba that World Cup Begin With Him because he fail us and am happy they failed him as well!... He said in UK that Nigerian Youth are lazy so how do you expect the people you called the Nigerian lazy youth to bring home the World Cup?..
