It has been rumoured that Ronaldo has told his agent (Jorge Mendes) that he would be more than willing to return to Manchester United.
It has been rumoured that United will offer somewhere in the region of £180M + Spanish stopper David De Gea to bring one of the world's best back to the Premier League.
Ronaldo has proven himself to be one of, if not the best player in the world on many occasions, although at the age of 32, some United fans might wonder if that money could be better invested into a player that might bring more to the team in the long term. That said, Ronaldo is sure to be able to get a job done, but for how long?
The would-be world record transfer fee of ~£180M would be almost double what United paid to secure Paul Pogba, and some are rightfully doubting Pogba's impact in his first season. However with Manchester United being the one of the world's biggest clubs, you wouldn't put spending this amount of money past them, not to mention the inclusion of their star goalkeeper. David De Gea certainly impressed last season too, with 14 clean sheets in 35 appearances for the club, behind only Thibaut Courtois and Hugo Lloris.
Would Ronaldo still be a worthwhile buy for Manchester United?
