LSU Shutout by the Tide 29-0

The LSU Tigers didn't have the game they had hoped for over the weekend. The Crimson Tide shutout the Tigers in a 29-0 victory in Death Valley. The LSU defense played well at times, even managing to give Tua Tagovailoa his first interception for the year, but the Tide offense was just too much for them, even with Devin White coming into the second half. On the offensive side of the ball, they struggled even more so. They had no opportunities to put the ball in the endzone, they had a shot at a field goal, but managed to botch that. The Tigers were only able to put 12 rushing yards against the Alabama defense and the offensive line struggled the most of all out of the whole team, allowing their quarterback to be sacked 5 times and gave up 10 tackles for a loss. LSU's hopes of taking the SEC West and the championship game were inevitably dissipated.

Joe Burrow went 18/35 for 184 yards with 1 interception. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had 6 carries for 14 yards and Justin Jefferson had 6 catches for 81 yards.

Tua Tagovailoa went 25/4 for 295 yards with 1 passing TD and 1 rushing TD and 1 interception. Damien Harris had 19 carries for 107 yards and 1 TD and Najee Harris had 6 carries for 83 yards. Jerry Jeudy had 8 catches for 103 yards and Irv Smith Jr. had 4 catches for 64 yards and 1 TD. Defensive End Quinnen Williams had 10 total tackles, 7 solo, 2.5 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for a loss.

That's too bad, that Bama hadn't faced a defense like LSU. I was expecting a better performance by that great defense of LSU.. Bama was just too much for them. Glad to see that, Bama stepped up their game.
