The 25-year-old Egyptian forward has been a revelation since leaving Serie A giants AS Roma for Liverpool last summer.
In his debut season with the Anfield-based club, he’s smashed records as well as becoming the fulcrum behind Jurgen Klopp’s men quest to win a sixth European Cup.
Salah was announced as the Premier League’s Player of the Season on the final day of the competition ahead of his record-breaking 32nd league goal against Brighton. Also included on the shortlist were the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and David De Gea, as well as Burnley defender James Tarkowski.
Though Tottenham centre forward Harry Kane produced two goals against Leicester City in Wembley’s 5-4 final-day thriller, Salah’s total of 31 goals for the campaign was enough to secure the 2017/18 Premier League Golden Boot anyway.
