Kylian's dream Mbappé
The forward of the French national team Kylian Mbappé said on Tuesday, after the classification of the Bleus for the final of the World Cup in Russia-2018, that the match for the title "is the dream of a lifetime." Speaking to the French channel TF1, the striker of Paris SG said that reaching the final "is something unimaginable." "It's a lifelong dream, I have no words, it's extraordinary, even in my best dreams, and I'm a great dreamer, I've never imagined this," added the 19-year-old.
Despite his youth, Mbappé kept his feet on the ground: "We have one stage left (until the title), although we can already be proud of what we have done"
Mbappé said that in the dressing room they received the visit of the French president, Emmanuel Macron , who followed the match live in St. Petersburg and wanted to congratulate the players in person for reaching the final.
Another forward, Olivier Giroud , agreed that a World Cup final "is the dream of every child" that starts playing football. "We are very proud to be able to share these moments with our families, our friends and with all the French," he added.
"Now there is a game, 90 minutes, maybe more, but we will have to go for it (the title)," concluded the striker, who again went unmarked on Tuesday, despite having several chances for it. "I always need a bit to get it and I'm sorry I could not help the team (with a goal), but I'm confident I can score in the final and get the (World) Cup."
