A couple things on Blades.
Number 1....He has major D1 talent and should be at Nebraska where he signed a letter of intent out of high school. He first committed to Florida before changing his mind.
Number 2.....Unfortunately his SAT scores were simply not good enough. His GPA was high enough that he had the opportunity to still go to Nebraska as a partial qualifier. Meaning...he could have gotten a free education, practiced with the team and got acclimated to the college life. However, he would have not suited up on Saturdays and lose a year of eligibility. He chose to go the JUCO route...and doing so, still has the ability to play for 4 years. A few teams have lined up including Tennessee and of course LSU. I'm not sure of his academic standing at the moment.
Kids....make SURE your grades and test scores are acceptable!!!!
NOT cool!! But good luck to Elijah. : )

The Tigers extended an offer to junior college cornerback Elijah Blades, who was one of the top prospects in the nation not too long ago.
