Germany bounced back from their opening day defeat to Mexico with a 2-1 win over Sweden, leaving it late, courtesy of a Toni Kroos last minute free kick.
Germany celebrate victory over Sweden
Sweden took the lead just after the half hour mark when a Viktor Claesson cross was well chested down by Ola Toinoven who then lobbed the ball beyond the out of place Manuel Neuer.
Germany who didn't start Mesut Ozil for the first time at a major tournament (Euro and World Cup) since he made his debut in 2010 needed a response and had to replace Julian Draxler with Mario Gomez whose first touch was an assist for Marco Reus to level things up.
Toni Kroos celebrates his winner against Sweden
Knowing anything but a win was what they required, Germany pushed for the second goal but were dealt a blow when Jerome Boateng saw red following his second yellow of the night.
The Die Manschaaft nonetheless did not give up and continued to push. Brandt first being denied by the post but Kroos in the final minute of additional time of the game scored a superb free kick to keep his team in the competition.

I dont now why Joachim Löw is playing 2 games with Muller, because he is playing so badly. I hope the next game does not play with him.
Lol... Muller has been a consistent goalscorer for them at the World Cup, so, don't blame Low for trusting him
