Chelsea v Barcelona is the highlight this week’s Round of 16 Champions League ties while Manchester United are also in action. Ahead of the games BetVictor brand ambassador Michael Owen makes his predictions.
Chelsea v Barcelona
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last seven Champions League games against Barcelona and the Catalan giants have only won one of their six away games at the Bridge.
I expect to see goals in what promises to be a terrific game and do note Barca have never kept a clean sheet at the Bridge although they only conceded one goal in the group stages of the competition earlier in the season.
No Philippe Coutinho of course in the Barca ranks in West London, but we will see the dual threat of the brilliant pair Lionel Messi, who has played 655 minutes against the Blues without a Champions League goal, and Luis Suarez.
Eden Hazard has three goals and two assists to his name in his last five Champions League games and the Premier League champions need a big game from their own footballing superstar.
Prediction: Chelsea 1-2 Barcelona
