Manchester United are making advanced moves for the signing of Juventus left back Alex Sandro and the Red Devils could complete a deal for the Brazilian after Saturday's FA Cup final clash with Chelsea at Wembley, reports suggest.
According to The Times, Jose Mourinho is targeting several high-quality players this summer ready to compete in the Champions League and attempt to reel in dominant rivals Manchester City.
The report claims that Sandro has urged Juventus chiefs to accept a deal - which could cost as much as the £52million City paid to bring in Benjamin Mendy from Monaco last summer - with an expectation that a transfer could be completed at the end of the season.
Left-back is a position that Premier League runners-up United are evidently desperate to address, with Luke Shaw having made just eight top-flight starts this season amid a difficult relationship with Mourinho.
Sandro appears to be the preferred option ahead of Tottenham's Danny Rose and Kieran Tierney of Celtic. The Brazilian international has impressed since joining Juventus from Porto for £18.6million in August 2015, making 113 appearances across all competitions and winning three consecutive domestic doubles.
