Sam Allardyce has agreed a deal with Everton to become their new manager. Over a month since they sacked Ronald Koeman and after a failed attempt to lure Marco Silva from Watford the Toffees have finally got a proven figure in charge.
Allardyce will be presented as the new Everton manager today
Sammy Lee will join as assistant manager, while former Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare will also join the backroom team. Allardyce, who has been in Dubai, was due to arrive in England on Wednesday morning, with a formal announcement expected some time today ahead of the game against West Ham tonight, in which Allardyce will be in attendance.
Real Madrid are monitoring the breakdown in relations between David Luiz and Antonio Conte with interest and could try to sign the Brazilian in January. David Luiz has been ruled out of Chelsea’s match against Swansea City tonight with a knee injury. The two have had a fall out since Conte hauled Luiz off during Chelsea’s 3-3 draw with AS Roma. The Brazilian acted like a petulant kid to being substituted and appeared to swear at Conte after seeing his number hoisted up by the fourth official. He has played in only half of Chelsea’s matches since the incident. If Conte decides to offload, it looks like he will raid Juventus for Alex Sandro as cover.
David Luiz has been left out in the cold by manager Conte
Manchester United manager is looking to go on a post-Christmas January spending spree. Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, Atlético Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann and Arsenal’s Mesut Özil are all on his list and if he is given the backing by the board he believes it will be enough to push United to a proper title challenge. Who would argue with that? It remains to be seen if Mourinho will get his own way as United are no longer the draw they were 5 years ago.
Mourinho hopes to spend big in January
United could face competition from Barcelona for the signing of Ozil, however. The German can move on a free next summer so Arsenal will want to cash in, but not to one of their competitors, so many believe Bracelona is the logical choice. But there are also rumours Lionel Messi doesn’t want Ozil at Barcelona. He’s already stated that he doesn’t want Greizmann to join the Camp Nou, so it seems what Messi says Barcelona does.
Sane and Silva will be offered big new deals at City
Great news for Manchester City fans as the club are ready to offer David Silva and Leroy Sané bumper new contracts. Both players are integral to Pep’s system and he believes they deserve bumper new deals to fend off any approach from Spain and tie them to the club long term.

It's about time, too. Everton have become a joke. Allardyce will have his hands full trying to keep them up.
I have to agree with ya there. I can't believe how they've crumbled so badly since last season.
And Unsworth thought he was in with a shout, lol
Luiz is a wanker! Simple as, he deserves to be left to rot. If United sign those four players, they will be serious challengers. If!
If they get two of those four they'll be serious contenders. Then again, City are streets ahead of anyone!
