Eden Hazard is stalling on a new contract amid links with a summer move to Real Madrid. The Belgian winger has been in stunning form for Chelsea this season, and has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal but the club are keen to tie him down to a long-term contract.

It’s rumoured that he’s been offered £300,000-a-week to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge, but according to The Daily Star, the former Lille man will wait until the end of the season before making a decision.

Eden Hazard is stalling on a new Chelsea deal

Hazard has always maintained he is more than happy at Chelsea, but when Real Madrid or Barcelona come knocking, many players find the lure of the two giants too much to turn down. If he was to go, it would be a blow not just for Chelsea but the Premier League also.

It looks like Theo Walcott’s tenure at Arsenal is coming to an end, as the Gunners are prepared to sell him this winter, according to reports. England international Walcott is out of favour at the Emirates after only being used as a bit part player, and is reportedly free to leave the club if a respectable offer is made.

Walcott has become a squad player at Arsenal and might move in January

That could alert Everton, Newcastle, West Ham and former club Southampton who are all looking to build. Arsene Wenger is looking to build himself and needs funds for next summer and Walcott's departure could give the Frenchman some summer funds.

Olivier Giroud has been urged to quit Arsenal or risk missing out on a World Cup place next year with France. Guy Stephan, the French assistant manager said Giroud wasn’t playing often enough to warrant a call up.

"It's clear that he is not getting enough playing time and Didier has already spoken to him about it," said Stephan. "He has to find a solution in the coming weeks. A departure? It is up to him. He's been very good in the past for France and he's played a lot of games and scored very important goals, so now he has to play."

Giroud has been told he needs to play more to make the France squad

France have an abundance of quality forwards and Giroud needs to be playing. This could alert Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle and Everton as they all look to strengthen.

Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka is one of Europe’s most wanted men, and he says he will decide his future in January. The Germany international, 22, has the likes of Manchester United, Juventus, Barcelona, Bayern and Arsenal all chasing his signature.

Groetska has become Europe's most wanted man

Schalke have offered a club record contract for Goretzka, who has 12 caps and six goals for his country, but the German club simply cannot compete with the big wages of the Premier League and Spain’s big two.

Sick of hearing about players wanting to move because a bigger club wants them. Whatever happened to a "contract"?

I hear ya. Footballers are wankers, tbh.

Really good job man carry on thanks i like this post

Thanks. Follow me @worldofsport

I think Wenger will not let go of Giroud and Walcott. I think Giroud is decent as a backup striker.

Player power. If a player really wants to go, a club usually let him go.

Why not head to Everton in a double-sale? They've got plenty of coin all of a sudden and not afraid to throw it around, and need attacking options with pace. Giroud would get a game, he might benefit from Siggurdson quality dead balls and is a hard worker (most of the time). Walcott not so sure, but does have tons of pace which wouldn't hurt. Maybe he could/would show his best if he started regularly. We'll have to wait and see.

On Hazard, I don't know why this is news - still got 2 and a half years left. Yes, a great player, but Chelsea are mad to resign him so soon. Not exactly running away with the league, are they?

Both would be great signings for Everton. Yea, I don't see the point in offering a new contract because if they want to leave, they'll leave, so why no just keep them on what they're on.

It will be a interesting transfer window this winter as many players have to be playing for being selected for the world cup. Therefore we might see Giroud and Walcott leave. I wont like Giroud leaving, but I would understand him if he wants to.

Yeah, you can't begrudge someone who isn't getting picked all the time, especially in a World Cup year.

Agree. I would do the same.

I feel bad for Walcott and Giroud. They could be such better players if they were given the time on the pitch. Giroud has saved them time and time again, and Walcott has a reputation for being clinical. Though with them not seeing much play time, I hope they get unloaded to teams that will actually play them.

I think Real Madrid are in need of a new manager since Zidane is failing to do his best. They'll be looking for Antonio Conte along with Hazard. Awesome post btw!
