First presidents of both countries came to an agreement this morning in pro to make a stronger Euro and move forward their position in the EU. The two key drivers agreed in principle to set up a joint budget for the euro zone, establish the European Security Mechanism as a crisis backstop and cooperate on migration reforms. The French and German leaders still need to work out the details and get other EU member states on board. Macron indicated the proposal will be presented to other partners with the goal of working out specifics by the end of this year that would take effect by 2021. It is just the beginning of a long road.
