US dollar consolidated some of its recent gains, as stock markets showed signs of stabilization following two weeks of sharp declines.

EUR/USD halted a three-day decline by gaining 0.5% to 1.2291. Preference is still for short positions below 1.2305 for further downside to 1.2205. Alternatively, above 1.2340 expect a bounce toward 1.2390 on the upside.

On the data slate there’s UK CPI; UK Retail Price Index; UK House Price Index; US Small Business Optimism and US Fed’s Mester to Discuss Monetary Policy and Economic Outlook.
