This past 3 days of ministry focus the children. I don’t know if I have ever seen more beautiful faces.
We just finished a two day Gospel Crusade in a very poor fishing village of Malaubang Philippines. We declared the Good News of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. So many great things happened! When the Gospel is preached the Gospel happens!
I would like to focus this article on the children and my wife ministering to them.
This photo is from the second night. On the first night my wife ministered to the kids. They begged her to come back earlier on the next night. They were eager to learn more and they informed my wife Ronafe that they had nobody there to teach them about Jesus Christ. Wow!
This is a very poor village. I have been here before and we witnessed 12 year old, boys and girls without underwear to cover their modesty, only a long tee shirt. They had not been bathed and you know they are not going to school.
The first night of our outreach! I apologize for the dark photos, but is was night and there was very limited lighting. Some of these families don’t have cups, forks, spoons, bowls or drinking glasses. The person with the money is the drug dealers.
After the first night, Ronafe came home in tears seeing the condition of the clothing. She went out shopping and brought food and clothing for these precious kids. The little girl that is just in her panties received a dress. This little girl, as well as most of the kids, immediately took off their clothing and put on the new. The little girl was dancing around in her new dress. We didn’t bother telling her she had it on backwards.
Each child also recieved a bible. Old and New Testament in their dialect called Cebuano.
It is great to help orphans and the poor and needy! Many godless and unbelieving people do this and it is great! But what is much better is to give them Jesus! To help them to understand the principles of the Kingdom, to ensure their names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life! If you help them with only temporal things and they miss heaven and are eternally lost, what good is or value did we really do?
Helping them with their physical needs is good, but to both help them physically and spiritually is the best!
This is a new area where we will focus weekly ministry! We always work in cooperation with the local biblical churches and their pastors. I estimate we can reach over 450 children in this area. A low ball estimate.
The majority of their homes are built on stilts and in the area that floods during high tide.
Psa 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Even if they are not my flesh and blood I would adopt every one of them! I wear like a badge of honor what they call me here. “Daddy William”

God bless you! It would be good to teach the community other things that using things that is readily available in that place like candy wrapper weaving perhaps anything that could turn trash into cash.

You have me teared up Daddy William. I look at these little ones and say forgive me Lord for being so ungrateful at times. They have almost nothing but if they can receive Jesus Christ then they have everything. I received Jesus as a girl of 12 years old and for that, I am eternally grateful. Jesus can change their lives from a young age, praise His Name! May God bless you and your wife abundantly in this ministry.
Thank you! I love to know a little more about you and now I know you got saved at 12! I remember my first visit as a Christian to Bulgaria. Seeing such poverty really made a change in my priorities. Like the old adage, “I used to be sad that I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.”
