Hemipristis shark teeth

Hemipristis shark teeth are another species of shark with a wide variation in tooth form. The Hemipristis serra teeth shown below are Miocene in age. This variation in tooth design, as usual, is based on the sharks feeding habits. The lower teeth are designed to hold the prey item. While the upper teeth are designed to cut through the prey as the shark moves its upper jaws side to side
