RE: 'Treated' Fracking Wastewater Still Contaminates the Watershed

in #fracking7 years ago

As a fellow Anti Fracker my thoughts are with you. Over here in the UK we are only starting to break into fracking with a lot of objection from local authorities. I still don't understand why we can't use every renewable source such as solar and wind before we start fracking with such a risk to our environment, health, water supplies even down to the value of our homes.

Sort:

Solar puts you in power to make your own power. Fracking still gets you dependent on another for energy, and they make money off you. Plus slowly destroying and poisoning our environment might be a plan by the ultra crazy hidden hands.. :P

Indeed, I'n my brain we are currently pretty much depend on the Middle Easts Oil Supply, for your Energy needs. In turn for this we sell them weapons, which then in turn end up in the arms of Terrorists.

As a 2 prong approach, lets leave any Oil/Gas lets be dependent upon yourselves.

I must admit though what I do find frustrating about the UK is the lack of support to obtain Solar.

There are grants and benefits available but only to those on lower incomes. I am unable to afford to fork out the full cost of the panels, but would love a scheme available to me where it could be a monthly option etc. Which in turn would add value to your property where as fracking is likely to lower the value.

There has been some interesting developments with regards to Solar Tiles as well which could be promising in future building regulations.

It'a a shame, really.
