Had an Eden Fractal brainstorm the other night, curious to hear feedback? Kinda inspired by Tadas's post as shared in the ƒractally Genesis Telegram.
Call it the EOS Consensus Tournament, like a sports tournament but for being a respectable and consensus-building person.
Everyone enters by paying into a pool 1 general use token (for the sake of argument call it EOS).
Half maybe of the tokens are put into a Liquidity Pool,
Respect is issued in the normal way but non-transferrable.
EOS is distributed to second and greater round, distributed probably double each higher level maybe or something. Just like a bowling tournament or something.
and then
Deploy the rest of the ƒractally stack on the Respect side of the liquidity pool. I don’t know if there’s an easy way to do this. Maybe you could mirror the tokens balances in the EOS smart contract or something.
I think this would provide a governance layer on top of EOS just like Eden, but with a different power distribution method. Not as an alternative to Eden, but as an additional mechanism to balance the other. BP governance, Eden governance, Respect-based governance. Balance.
I think this may also provide an avenue to deploy fractally and the psibase chain alongside EOS, so they can take advantage of each other’s advantages. Most important in my eyes is liquidity for non-governance Respect and additional decentralized governance for EOS.
to make it less imposing you don’t have to turn on your camera but we can use AtomicHub’s unlockable content NFTs to provide a unique image to an account that it can display as proof of ownership of the keys. If the group has verified this person’s already, by knowing them or having interacted on Eden, then issue them a new unlock able content NFT each time. Fun prize, and also handy dandy identity verification.
In the future I hope we can have lots of governance options in competition, which compete against each other for proxied token stake. It’s the same competition that allowed smartphones to progress rapidly while the government was still using paper forms. Competitive governance.
Sir, this is a great snack for a wandering mind. I will be nibbling on your ideas and see where my imagination takes me. Thanks for the thoughtfulness and beautiful, creative insights.
