Beauty in the Math - Fractals #4

in #fractals5 years ago (edited)

Greetings.

If you've been following along with the fractal topic, you may be wondering if I've ever sold any.
Well, yes I have but not many. Lots of people like them but abstract digital art of this kind doesn't have the same appeal to it that say an oil painting might... even an abstract one.
I can understand this as the impression people can have is that the computer did all the work (Well... yes-ish). It is also the case that a digital image can easily be copied so it isn't as unique as a hand painted picture, although you can get prints of just about any painting you might want these days.
I have tried numbered and limited prints with a certificate of authenticity but there was just not enough interest. I'll have to stick with more traditional art with paint, brush and canvas. Do I sell any of that? Well...... no. Sad isn't it LOL.
Not quite ready to give up my day job.

Nice ones :) I'm thinking about printing some of my fractals onto a quality material and then put them into frames. But those will be little format let's say 20x20cm and mostly my mandala like works :)
I use Mandelbulb3d btw :) and nice to meet you, fella fractalist! :)

Nice to meet you too. You have posted some really cool fractals.
How long have you been creating them?

Thanks! :)
It's almost 3 years NOW since I began experimenting with Mandelbulb3D :)
..at the beginning I still had facebook and there is a good community about this free software... a lot of useful tutorials, tips and great works too!
