One of the challenges for modern digital artists (especially those who have little business experience) is how to get your work sold. This is especially poignant since there is also a growing trend of AI generated Art potentially making artists redundant.
As a fledgling digital artist specializing in fractals and mobile app-based compositions and images this is an existential question. What can digital artists do to sell their work (in contrast to working as a staff artist producing art for commercial projects, video games etc.)? Having researched this I have decided to sign up with Society 6 and upload some of my images.
Once you register there is a verification fee of 1 dollar to pay (via paypal) to be registered. Once you are registered simply drag and drop the images into the browser receptacle and the upload begins. You have to have the right size image which means a lot of pixels. I uploaded an 8000 x 6000 px image to create these items, and these
This is a Green Dragon Mandala named as the protrusions emanating from the centre have a somewhat dragonlike shape.
I have to say I really fancy the clock and some of the bed spreads but probably a bit too late for Christmas and not sure what the shipping costs would be to get items to the UK. But buying my own art would be like sampling my own product and that's not going to fly. I have little wall space as it is on account of several XXL canvasses adorning my living room
I will let you know how I am getting on with selling art via society6 including how well and regularly they pay out.My secret fantasy here is that my image will sell like hotcakes. If you have any ideas on other places to sell, I would be very grateful for any tips on this.

Turning art into money must be tricky, but there are a few people on Steemit who are making efforts on that. Just posting here can make you something.
Yes every little bit helps. The trick is to create a passive income using multiple income streams.
I bought some stickers on Red Bubble by Steemit artists. I don't know how much they get from that
