Marc Marquez has a chance to match a Casey Stoner achievement in the French MotoGP race at the weekend. Condition, Marquez must win.
This season Marquez has won two wins from four races early MotoGP 2018. The first pair of Repsol Honda rider podium was achieved in succession in Austin and Jerez in the third and fourth series.
With two victories, Marquez is now perched at the top of the standings with 70 points aka 12 points ahead of Johann Zarco who became his closest competitor.
Results in Jerez also makes Marquez has now won 37 MotoGP victories. That number makes him equal to Mike Hailwood in the list of winners in most primary class.
The next next name will be targeted Marquez in the list is Stoner who has 38 wins. That is, Marquez will be able to match Stoner if able to win at Le Mans on the weekend.
If able to do so, Marquez has Jorge Lorenzo (44 wins), Mick Doohan (54), Giacomo Agostini (68), and Valentino Rossi (89) who still outperformed the list.
Since taking part in MotoGP, Marquez has undergone 94 races by winning 37 of them. The percentage of victory now reaches 39.3 percent.
