Emmanuel Macron in Calais "jungle will not be repeated"

"In no case will we leave a 'Jungle' to reform itself": the French president, Emmanuel Macron, told the security forces in Calais, a symbol of the migratory crisis in the north of France, where, 15 months after the eviction of the irregular field of migrants, the problems remain with the presence of over 600 exiles still on the spot and the hope of reaching Great Britain.

Macron's mission also aims to quell the growing controversy over the future law on asylum and immigration to the Paris government's study. Meanwhile, the Nobel Prize winner for literature, Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, denounces the distinction between economic migrants and refugees fleeing the war by thundering against an "unbearable denial of humanity".
