I agree with you @Charles1, when I looked at that definition of friends, I wonder how many people that will fit into that description. It is hard to find such friends again. In addition to the reasons why people prefer internet friends to real life friends is because real life friends comes with a lot of responsibility, for instance one can chat with a laday friend online and be become emotionally satisfied without buying recharge card but if it is real life you may spend some cash or misunderstand might errupt.
