many may still believe these individuals should be given the chance to run, because, if they are truly bad, then they would never be elected.
bdw what about those who are already elected, man they are biggest criminals also

Yes! Mandela spent 27 years in prison for virtually commiting zero crime but yet he was found guilty. I think this issue of convicted felons is an issue of if you must stand with the truth, then youve got to pay the price, look at Jesus for a bigger example

Yes, they do have that right to vote and to be voted for.
In as much as they've been convicted of a crime in the past, the main fact that they've faced conviction has given them the chance to be redeemed of their crime.
If you look down through history, you'll see that many convicted felons, have emerged to become great leaders. A good example is Nelson Mandela of South Africa. I therefore support the motion that felons should be given the right to vote and be voted for.
Thank You.

They should be given that right too cos they are still member of the state. If tax is still collected from them then voting right should be allowed also but can't really say about running for office

Maybe I should run for President.

I believe felons are part of the society and deserve equal right platform. Infact if I look at past examples of some fellons. I would suggest they possess the clearest view on life and have not seen a person convicted long enough ,when acquitted will go back to the same crime. Most of them tend to learn from there eexprience and this makes them a lot better than most people.

I feel like there are some select few among us who still remembers we have an intrinsic worth be it good or bad and I think felons just get to try and remind us either way because we have had some positive instances where felony have rise for the greater good just like the case of Nelson and we have bad examples of felony where trust was compromised. So it's a two way thing. The good or the bad?

This is a important news for politics.

we are all with you. you should be alert @adam.

Good update

My personal opinion is a honest No. Although I believe in forgiveness, redemption and complete freedom, I also think convinced felons - depending on the weight of the crime, have betrayed the highest value of leadership - trust.

Of course they should never be prevented from running if they want to, but I just won't do my conscience good by voting for one.

As for voting, yes. They remain afterall, citizens.

That's just my take

of course Ben Leder President 2020
we all want 💜

I appreciate the intention in serving the community ...

Should criminals have the right to vote and run for office? what do you think?

My opinion
criminals are also human beings and they are entitled to vote and we will see the extent of the crimes committed: I am personally convinced that the level of human consciousness to change oneself is good. It depends on intention and will

we strongly support freedom, and support you to be a precedent

I am often a victim of crime, because I am a homeless person, I forgive some people who are forced to commit criminals because of economic conditions and they have the right to vote. I personally think that the rulers of evil politicians who are really criminals

I am your great supporter and idolize you@adamkokesh. i have seen your struggle and your work for freedom. i am a victim of the conflict of Aceh and both my parents have died in the wicked battle of the evil rulers. i become a bum looking for a bite of rice, today i make a special post for you my idol, I hope you can give a little smile for me. honestly i really need attention
I strongly support @adamkokesh as United's 2020 President. This will bring United in freedom. Support I always accompany and I will invite friends to support you @adamkokesh Please @adamkokesh my idol

War on Drug User/Addicts is about social control...to maintain the social/racial caste system of this nation.

13th Amendment socialized slavery. Before the 13th private citizens could own other human beings. After 13th Amendment only the government can own other human beings. Classic example of socialism, right?

A point of view:

A mother who mourns her 9-year-old daughter at her funeral was murdered and raped by a criminal who entered the girl's house at midnight. and now he is in jail. Ask the mother if she has a right. Many today think that they should have that opportunity, I do not believe, since politics can help them give them a privilege they should not have.

the notion behind Prison is to be stand as an institution where morals are corrected, that is to say prisons are reformation centers. if we as a society cannot allow convicted felons to run for offices, then we should close down prisons because we have also lost our faith in it as a reformation center.

there is ample room in this Vocation outside of being a candidate. Do you know why Libertarian Party candidates can't seem to win anything? See who is their respective campaign manager. It's that simple.
