Well, considering you handed her a drill then stepped back to observe, I'd say you're breaking free from the "most parents" mentality pretty well. :)
We laugh when well-meaning relatives try to interfere with our kids learning. We love watching our kids explore and discover. Our daughter picked up crawling so quickly and is now teaching herself to stand. Our son can motor but is still exploring his movements, often finding himself in downward dog. At 7 months I think they are doing fantastic but their well-meaning grandparents tend to get in there to "show" them how to move their hands and feet. Ha! I find it comical.
Side question: Do you put your tiny house posts up as images to avoid the permanence of the block chain?
