Energy techniques for releasing emotional baggage - intro

For the past 10 years I’ve been going through a bit of a spiritual unfolding. During this time, I’ve gradually worked through deeper and deeper layers of emotional baggage and moved closer and closer to a freer version of myself and a higher understanding of life.

As I worked through different layers of emotion I constantly reached points where I needed to learn something new in order to progress. Each new technique or insight would invariably take me to a deeper level of emotion where once again, I would have to learn and expand even further.

This has resulted in me having a large amount of knowledge that I want to try and share with the Steemit community. Over the next 30 days I’m going to take part in the content challenge being run by @juliank and during this time, I’ll write about as many of the different healing techniques that I’ve learned and share my understanding of energy/emotion, the impact that it has on your life and more importantly, how you can let it go.

For my first post, I’m going to talk about one of my favorite energy healing techniques – Energy Cone. I learned this back in 2008 and it works great whether you're working alone on yourself, or with a partner. It’s an extremely simple process that you can do even when watching TV, but I can’t express how powerful it is, both in terms of releasing energy stored in the body from past trauma and also, for providing you with an insight into the deeper workings of you!

Now I’ll go into Energy Cone more intimately tomorrow, but in the meantime just try this little exercise:

  1. Have a look at the palm of your hand (left or right – whichever feels best…) and look for any marks that stand out or any particularly strong lines that cross each other (x marks the spot!)
  2. If you have a particular emotion that you want to work with just bring that into your mind, if not just move to step 3
  3. Have a look at your hand again and see if any of the marks or crosses from step 1 stand out – pick one of them and put the middle finger of your opposite hand on the mark or cross
  4. Set your intent to Heal! (simply repeat the word heal whilst focusing on the feeling under your finger)
  5. Pay attention! Pay attention to the feeling under your finger and see If you notice a pulse or a tingling feeling
  6. Pay attention some more, this time to the feelings in your body – scan the body to see if there’s a particular feeling anywhere – it might be something really subtle or it may be something quite strong
  7. Pay attention some more! Once you’ve found a feeling just keep your attention on it until it changes or disappears.

This exercise brings up a different level of feelings from person to person. Some people can do this exercise and not feel very much, whilst others feel electricity pulsing through them, some see lights and get a great introduction to their energy body.

I’ll explain exactly what it’s all about in my post tomorrow and show you how you can use this technique to remove energy blocks that could be holding you back in different areas of your life.
