I believe this is a complicated issue, and sometimes a child is better off being removed from the care of his/ her parents. In some cases, like with Marks daughter, this is certainly not the case. Because of a law that I don't agree with the threat of removal is very real for them and their options are very limited.
As Mark writes there are only a few ways to avoid having to send the child to a government approved school. Leaving the country is one of them.
We have done that successfully for two years now. We know our right and have dealt with three different school principals, and after helping them understand the law they came to the same conclusion as us: As long as we are not in Sweden during all or at least most of the school year the child is exempt from the mandatory school (and the schools responsebillity for the child is is also void).
We have learned to play by their rules and avoided threats of SPC, but cannot spend time in Sweden during the school year.
I hope this project will bear fruit and one day be able to help families that have had a child removed from them.
