Wealth Building Habits for a Freer Tomorrow

Whether we like it or not, it is a lot easier to be freer tomorrow if you have plenty of money. Unless one of the following events is in your future, you're going to have to work hard to build wealth:

  • Inherit a pile of cash
  • Win the lottery
  • Commit some kind of serious crime

We're talking about consistent hard work over months, years, or decades. Doing something consistently over a long period of time is much easier if you turn it into a habit. In this case, you need to create a set of wealth building habits.

That makes sense, and is something I have wanted to do for a while now. But this begs the question - What are the best wealth building habits to develop?

Happily, I stumbled across one answer to that question today. It is embodied in this infographic from the Visual Capitalist website:

How Does This Apply to Us Steemians?

As you can see in the infographic, a lot of these habits are what you would expect from someone who built wealth on their own:

  • Save lots of money
  • Keep up with current events

and so on. However, two of them are particularly relevant to us at Steemit.com.

Socialize

While creating great content is important to success here at Steemit, socializing is even more important. You can create the greatest content in the world, but if no one reads it or Upvotes it, you might as well not have bothered writing it. This is something I need to work on myself. I tend to be a lone wolf more than a socializer, and it hurts my ability to get out my message.

Don't Like Your Job, Love Your Job

As the financial results of the millionaires in the infographic show, you get far better results when you love your job. Fortunately, most of the people who post regularly on Steemit love what they are doing. While it is no guarantee of success, it definitely increases the odds of personal success as well as success for the Steemit platform.

Start Developing Wealth Building Habits Today

While the exact length of time varies, the references I've seen say you can create a new habit in days or weeks. That means there is plenty of time this year for each of us to bring all the habits listed in the infographic into our own lives.

Imagine your personal wealth-building potential if you can integrate all these habits into your own life. Which habit will you start with?
