RE: Korwin-Mikke: Polish free-market legend

in #freedom7 years ago

Some trivia on JKM from my side.

Korwin is a strategic mastermind. he was official polish champion in bridge (wrote a book about how to play it), as a student and after student's time he earned money by playing cards and chess.

He sets long term goals and he does not count on short term results. he is politically active many, many years now (30-40years) and inspired many average people as well as publicists, free market economists in Poland.

He is very intelligent, very quick, energetic, and funny person. he has a great memory, is brutally logical, but also very hardworking! you can find on the internet him telling that he has at home 10.000 books and he read all of them and I believe him! In addition he "speaks" (perhaps with a very bad accent :), many languages.

They say he sleeps 4h a day. He is extremely active, publishes articles every day (very often more than one per day), writes books, appears in TV, constantly travels around Poland with lectures, and all of this for more than 20 years now. he is totally devoted to promoting the free-market economy and conservatism. He hates socialism and democracy. Polish youtube is full with videos with him, unfortunately for foreign audience most of it in polish. There was even a featured documentary created (Korwin the Movie) financed with on co-founding platform. Lately among polish teenagers card game based on his famous quotes and bon mots is very popular (check out Czas Zaorac Socjalizm wich in translation means "Time to demolish the socialism").One more to add: Polish main stream media totally hate him, you will never find objective information about him in the main stream media. either they write/broadcast/say nothing to silence him down or they totally manipulate his words so audience can hate him.

Of course in Poland bow tie has a clear connotation with Korwin-Mikke. He is wearing it since he was a teenager.

He sees democracy as a totalitarian system, where the majority can do absolutely everything with the minority. In addition majority of the people usually have leftists believes. Thus democracy leads to socialism. Hero some quote from him "Democracy means that if this man, you Miss, and I will be trapped on an island, we having a majority of votes will decide that you have to sleep with us. That's the Democracy. And with 2/3 votes we can even put that in the constitution".

He is a monarchist, but enlightened dictatorship is also good for him, republic (the rule of law) also. He explains that with a king or a dictator you have at least a chance to convince them to the right decisions, in democracy - no chance (although he is constantly trying, that is why he is often compared with Don Kichote).
