Compost toilet build

in #freedom10 months ago (edited)

My temp one is officially full which means I need to build another more perminent one! A while ago I started to make a washing up station but never got round to finishing it, plus, it was too big to use without cutting some height from the legs so today I moved its location and have been turning it into a toilet.

I've put it in the best place possible and its half way finished already. Normally I make two sections for the poo so that when one is full, you can close it and start using the other half to allow the full one to decompose. This time though I'm lucky and thankful to have the materials to make one, and I just spent my last money on half a kg of nails. Beggers can't be choosers

I will build the sides up, I just found wood for the floor and have left a hole which I will make a toilet and seat for later on.

Also there will be a wall for privacy and some steps so that its easy to get to. I need to find some masonry nails to fix it to the wall but for now its OK. I'll go grab more bits to finish it off and hope I have enough nails.

Today the park is closed but I should have maybe setup the (hard)cider stand as many people go to the park then discover its closed and then they feel if they buy a cider, the trip wasn't completely wasted (haha).. I managed to get Loopyjoose showing on google maps which should help with business, as you know I am not a fan of googoo but they have the main maps which everyone uses, so I will have to use them as promo! Its hard to believe that January is nearly gone already in 2024!

At least I am able to feed myself and my dogs since a months or so, the next step is to be able to get my clothes clean properly at a decent launderette, one that can actually get stains out of clothes because all my clothes are dirty and come back not much cleaner from the launderette :(

Not much else has been going on,just the day to day survival in Mexico and as usual being offered work which I rely on so much, but then it never actually materialises. Some family up the road wants me to build there house but I refused the slave wage which was the same wage as washing up in a restaurant, and good job I did because if I had agreed, the job wouldn't not have started anyway, because the family had their way dog taken then was blackmailed 1000 peso when they took it back from a gang..

They refused to pay do now they have had to leave their home - people are so dum here its unreal. If you don't took after your dogs and let them roam around, they will get taken for sure. Common sense.. The dog went missing, they offered a reward, but wouldnt pay some gang off to keep the peace.
For 1000 peso they could have just paid the bribe and be left alone, but it seems as they wanted to pay me that for 6 days work, they must see its as a huge amount of money..

Yeah not much else going on here! I need a cash loan so badly to get me back on my feet, it'd becoming very annoying not to even have decent clothes to go to town in and sell cider etc at bars which I need to be doing. Building wagons would go well here too, that's the main target.

Anyways, I think I'll go have a nap, running out of ciggys is shit too and not being able to get weed is horrible!

Here's a pic of the first camilion I have seen in Mexico.. Have a great day!

Nice one, you just reminded me I left a friend with one of these half way finished haha, gonna have to go and get that done one of these days

Ahaahahha you mean they weren't able to finish it off?!

Yeah, just left the cube in place hahaha

Be ready to dodge shit pits or laugh at the amount of full buckets everywhere ahhaah

I think that your project is very great. Cant wait to see the finish product.

Thanks man! This one will be very basic

That's some pretty rough homesteading. Should work out okay as long as you don't get any slivers in your bum that could prove difficult to get out.

Lol yeah its almost as bad as the riverbed in south Spain lol.. Here is hard purely because there's no standard s to anything in the construction/property trade so every just pays peanuts for monkeys and get terribly done work on their house or all houses are just made from concrete so anyone with 2 hands can go do it.. I'll be making a post soon don't you worry, about how it is here and the how its just pure ignorance at the end of the day

I'll be eagerly awaiting that post.
