I see all this JS mess as a unique opportunity, maybe some changes in DPOS like that one you mentioned about the cooldown of a moth to vote for proposals witness etc... will be effective I don't know but I'm quite confident that with the people that is trying to develop HIVE will be much better that Steemit was.
I'm not here by the money so I only expect this space will develop and make this community a model of governance. For that IMO changes and innovation are needed, what I see is that there is much more enthusiasm coming that what I could see in steemit in his last months. (I don't think it will survive much time)
