doesnt really make sense...the way it works is at one point a 5 minute timer comes...then if you put the wrong password after the 5 minute timer it would become 10 minutes....
For it to get to 47 years it would mean before it was locked for years...

Its easy just reset factory settings and restore backups from i cloud, i believe that will do the trick

I think they should go for factory reset as I'm sure their data would have been saved on iPhone data store I.e. iCloud. So from there, they can recover data.. I think it will surely work.

That's sounds frightening , I sometimes press wrong passwords and make it disable for one hour because I don't want my friends to peep into my phone . But this 47 years are mind blowing
