Yes, I said it...RIPOFF! I used to sell stuff on ebay, but when their policy changed to taking 10% of the sale I walked. Do they take the pictures, write the copy and follow the sale for you? They will for an additional amount, but otherwise, no. Then they added taking a piece of the shipping, WTF? 10% of the shipping too?! Are they having to do all the hassle that is shipping? Again, for an added fee they will, but otherwise, no. Yes boys and girls, that is what's known as a RIPOFF! Then of course, you basically are forced to use Paypal as the medium of payment. Now the 2.9% fee isn't too bad, but it isn't too good either. When you consider that no actual physical money is moving anywhere, and it's basically just computer 0's and 1's being transferred automatically, this is what's known as the big grift. Both of these companies in my opinion are RIPOFFS! There are other places like ebid and auction.com, but they have only a fraction of the traffic of ebay. Some of the things that I have sold on ebay don't even have categories at those two. Letgo, a newcomer, seems to be good, but it also seems to be like craigslist, local. There are other pay alternatives to Paypal, but who knows if they'll stick around or be gone next month. Does anyone have a better "mousetrap"?
