My wife is from Venezuela. I want to share my brief experience with the country and the situation. I went there for the first time in 2012 I believe. 9 bolívares were worth $1 US at that time (black market). I have been there three times, and I would honestly tell anyone not to go there right now. My wife still has family there is afraid to ever return. She came here legally and is a permanent resident now. Anyway, today 5,113 bolívares = $1 US (black market). People are eating animals in the street and most people have lost a significant amount of weight. I feel for the people of the country and hope that a solution to Maduro's dictatorship comes promptly. MACHETE.

Everything you say is very true, Venezuelans in its majority, we aspire to a country of opportunity and progress, but to achieve this, we must continue with the demonstrations in the street.
@luisucv34 I heard that currently in Venezuela you can sustain your self for 6 month with an OZ of silver. Is this true? How valuable is an OZ of gold or silver when a country is in Venezuela's current situation?
If you have the chance of having a gold, silver or dollars, has a chance to live a little better, due to the disparity would change the country.
