Good evening, Steemians!
I might ruffle a few feathers with this post, but it just pisses me off to see a cop acting as if he or she is above the law. The duty of police officers is to protect and serve the civilians of his or her jurisdiction, yet we see countless abuses of power and arrests for victimless crimes. The police are just the bodyguards of the bigger mafia.
I don't see how parking diagonally on the sidewalk of a Walmart is effective... If anything, the actions of many police officers endanger people further. They park where they want to, they speed when the want to, and I bet they use those fancy lights and sirens at their leisure.
If you don't do what they say, you will be locked in a cage! I'm all about individual liberty and the non-aggression principle (NAP). What would happen if I were to park my truck like this cop did. People would be frantically trying to figure out who did it. They would probably have a tow truck ready in ten minutes. But, since it's a cop, we'll just look the other way. Fuck that.
Thanks for stopping by, Steemians! Have a beautiful evening you beautiful bastards!
All I can say at best is that I have this love/hate thing going on. Love the good ones, can't stand the bad ones. Last week, I got stopped for speeding... doing 24mph in a 15mph zone. Nobody was in any danger of my reckless driving, but I still got ticketed. Headstrong, this cop was.
That pisses me off man. I'm lucky in that I haven't been ticketed in years, and I think I've only ever gotten 2.
3 for me. 2 accidents and 1 speeding.
I haven't ever gotten a ticket since I moved to FL. I think I had 1 or 2 tickets in Illinois, those bitches are hard-pressed for $$$. I was doing 33 in a 20 for sure and that got me a ticket probably 8 years ago. I went to a 4 hour class to get the ticket off my record. Complete BS. I've been pulled over twice in FL I think both times were warnings. I've been in only one accident that was my fault: literally the first snow I had ever driven in I ended up rear-ending an old lady. No damage, we didn't even call cops we just went our ways. I had someone hit me from behind and run in Woodstock, IL (that was fucked up). Really no significant damage, but you don't just fucking leave the scene like that! Called the cops, gave them her plates and I never found out what happened to her. Crazy biotch.
Wow. That sucks! She probably didn't have a license.
I feel the same way every time I get passed by a cop doing 90mph! I'd like to pull him over and give him a ticket!!!
Yeah... And all he wanted was McDonalds. Now we know coppers! Lol
Haha I would give you 50% chance of being right on that one lol
Do as I say, not as I do is the common mentality with Police I'm finding!
wow thanks for sharing. this is interesting to know..
it's also the few asshole cops that ruins it for the good cops.
I was worse when I drove pizzas in college. XD
I am Groot! :D
