This is an exploitation of the curation system. Rewards exist to encourage content that attracts an active community. Redirecting rewards without producing anything to merit investment undermines the future of the platform and should be downvoted.
Buying votes with schemes like this undermines the future of this community. If you want to help the whole community and especially minnows, please help curate and share their quality content so it can be properly upvoted as it deserves.
Not necessarily. All cryptocurrencies have Faucets. And this is steem's way of faucet.
Steem is basically a faucet already. Anyone can create an account, post, and curate. People who upvote things like this are undermining that system, and aren't even doing so in a way that efficiently benefits themselves. Half the rewards from these posts are in the form of SP and go to the person running it, and the SBD rewards they pay out are the same as what you'd get if you upvoted your own post.
In other words, you could get about double the payout actually writing something yourself and upvoting it. Significantly more of course if it was actually good and other people upvoted it. So you're not only helping scam the whole network when you upvote this junk, but you're being scammed yourself as well.
