Eddie walked through the forest, following his recent purchase of a gold and black dragon. After everything went down, he was given the opportunity to purchase the dragon, and after deciding that, due to the fact that he was sick of the dragon, he was, in fact, entitled to keep the thing, he purchased him following the events surrounding his missing and presumed death.
As he walked, he saw that the beast seemed to limp slightly. He also somehow fit back in his owner's bag, without a hitch. Eddie didn't find it odd, as his bag that was made for a person, was made for a small person. The dragon, though, was as big as anything he had seen. He shrugged it off as a temporary loss of strength, due to the hard days of dragon trafficking.
He observed his captive, as they walked when he tripped over a rock and fell to the ground, face first. He looked at the dragon and shook his head, "You must be Eddie." The dragon said.
"Huh? What? How do you know my name?" He shook the dragon, who was surprisingly light.
The dragon's wings flapped leisurely and the dragon looked at him. "I have time to waste. I don't have time to explain. I know you and I am here to bring peace to mankind. You, however, have other plans." The words seemed to come out in a stream, one word after another, but eventually the stream died down, and he was quite again.
"Did you realize you stopped talking?" Eddie asked. "Nope." The dragon replied, nonchalantly. "I think you might be dying." "Nah." "Are you going to die?" "Yes."
Eddie thought for a moment, "What is this?" "I'm telling you that I'm going to die." "And why am I important? Huh. Why was I involved in this?" "I want you to know." The words seemed to be less coherent than before.
"Know what? What is going on? Talk sense. Please." Eddie said. "I am telling you that I am going to die, and I'm not going to tell you what you need to know. You're not taking this seriously. I'm working on you. You don't understand what is going on, or you'd be working on me." The dragon said.
Eddie was bewildered. "I'm not supposed to. I can't. Please. I have to go. I have to." The dragon tried to get ways out of his bonds, but had no success. "Okay. I'll tell you something then. If this had been real I would be there waiting for you. If you're looking for me, I'm ready to go home. I was supposed to. It's not my place." The dragon said.
"You want me to work on you?" "No. I'm fine. I'm sorry. I've done everything I can. I'm not going to. For the second time I wish you luck. Goodbye." The dragon said and closed its eyes.
Eddie shook it until a dragon appeared, as though pulled out of thin air. The dragon looked at Eddie and said, "You brought him back to life. What are you going to do with him?"
"I'm going to follow your advice." He said. "But there's two of me. There's two of me. What the hell is going on."
