Hello steemians.... It's another #fridayfoodies contest by @maryfavour for @redfishpillar and today I will be showing us sweet potato with vegetables sauce.
I was surprised when a Corper colleague in the lodge said she never knew sweet potato could be taken with lettuce vegetable same as some of us might not really know or like it but I tell you the food was so delicious and tasty.
INGREDIENTS
.Sweet Potato
.Garden egg
.Meat
.Pepper
.Onion
.Maggi
.Groundnut oil
.Salt
.Lettuce vegetable
DRINK
.Fresh quick
.Cold sachet water
PROCEDURE
SWEET POTATO AND GARDEN EGG
Pilled the back of the sweet potato, cut them into some sizes of your choice, wash them very well and put inside the pot you want to used to cook it. Set the pot on fire and allow the sweet potato to boil for 20minutes. Dice the garden egg into normal size and put inside the boiling sweet potato till it done to your own taste coz some people like hard potato while some like it to be very soft, but I prefer the soft one.
VEGETABLE SAUCE
Dice your vegetable and parboil it with salt, Boil your meat with seasoning, After set your soup pot on fire, pour in some minimum of groundnut oil depending on the level of the pepper you are frying, allow the oil to be hot and pour in your pepper, put seasoning and cover it for about 7minute before putting in your pounded garden egg and meat cover it and allow it to boil for 3minutes.
Open it and put in your vegetable and mix it together with the pepper, cover it to stem together for about 2-3minute and that is all. The sauce is ready. I did not put plenty vegetable leaf because I like it that way.
