These Septarian nodules were
found at a local rock shop lol

A deal was struck with a rock
hammer and these pretties
came home with me.

shasta2018nov23rd47septarian1nodule4io.jpg

Ancient mud balls formed
around 50 to 70 million years ago.
The cracks fill in with calcite over time.
More info about concretions.

shasta2018nov23rd47septarian1nodule5io.jpg

Geometry patterns abound
in and around.

shasta2018nov23rd47septarian1nodule6io.jpg

Sun faces and eyes, the sizes vary.

shasta2018nov23rd47septarian1nodule9io.jpg

Could even use them as a
compass or clock.

Outer backsides are rather plain,
I might of passed many of these by.

You have a nice little collection. The two smaller ones in the middle of the top picture look like googly eyes with eyelashes.

LOL they do look like googly eyes don't they! ๐Ÿ‘€

I love them, they look great!

Like a pan of rock cookies ๐Ÿช :-)

Indeed :)

This is very awesome! What nature can create is just mind-blowing sometimes.

the shapes and colors are so endlessly
mind blowing! :-)Thank you @vinceboisgard! It is so amazing

Wow, another pattern I had not idea existed. I love that asterisk look to them.

Pretty trippy huh, they were sure eye catching!
Coolest ''asterisk'' ever, awesome way to look
at them @solominer! :-)

They are so gorgeous! I always wish someone would have set up a video camera to record the process of the creation of our world! Resteeming!

540 million years ago
You made me remember seeing this lol
I like to think of that stone soup as its moving around! :-)
Have you seen the giant crystal cave in Mexico programs?Thank you @melinda010100!

Thank you very much for sharing this and for including it in the #fridaysrock tag. I've never seen these before. Very interesting! I think I would have passed them by too!!

Be cool to have one the size of a small table top, could
almost play chess on it lol
So many things we must be passing by, artifacts and
odd things we've never seen before. I like the looks
of the petrified coral rocks you have over your way! :-)Thank you and you are most welcome @nat-expressions!

One of those the size of a small table would be amazing! Even slices used to make a table top would be beautiful!!

Those are some sweet designs. I have always strayed away from buying stones at a store but this past spring I stopped in a few local antique shops and they had quite an array of rocks. I felt they were too expensive for me though. I'd rather find them and be the seller!

#rockhound is the tag for rockhounds! Manually curated by @rockhounds / @bitfiend! Share your rocks!

Bought, given and found all good for rockhounds lol
Some are just crazy costly, he had some carved Alaskan
jade, a large bear perhaps basketball size for around
seven thousand dollars or more. Those meteorites
take the cake tho!! Yeow on the prices of those!
Sure like to trip over one! :-)Thank you @rockhounds!

First time I see anything like that. They look fantastic,

something new and different!
I'm always amazed what will popup next
we haven't seen before! :-)Thank you @nelinoeva! Awesome to see

Amazing and beautiful rocks @shasta. If I found them, I would have taken them home with me too. What a find. : )

Found another pretty today while hunting
in the rock shop haha
It's a good place to hunt as they are very
concentrated in one area LOLThank you so much @whatisnew! :-)
