RAWGUST CHALLENGE

in #fruit8 years ago (edited)

Just wanted to give y'all an update on my rawgust so far. If you're not familiar with rawgust it's simply eating 100% raw foods for the entire month of August. This is a great time of the year for people like me and others who don't have access to fresh fruits and vegetables year round.

I have been trying to eat as much fruit as possible and would say I'm about 80% fruit and 20% leafy greens and vegetables so far. My goal is to eat as close to 100% fruit because I know the benefits of the naturally distilled water in fruit and it being the easiest to digest. If you have never attempted eating raw this is a great month to go for it. I have been loving my cantaloupe and wild berries I pick daily! Unfortunately my favorite fruit, seeded watermelon is no longer available where I live and I refuse to eat seedless fruits. Other than that I am loving the raw lifestyle and encourage anyone who's interested to try it out!

aww man. I just heard about rawgust. I should have tried it. :( There's always next year.

For sure! I feel like going raw is way better if you were to live in a tropical area, the produce where I'm at is no good and too expensive.

Really wish I lived in a tropical area.

Same here man! I'm making it happen regardless, where I'm at its cloud cover 10/12 months.
